There are sad scenes for Fiz Brown and Tyrone Dobbs tonight as Fiz says an emotional goodbye before leaving Coronation Street with Hope. The exit facilitates the maternity leave of Jennie McAlpine, who was pregnant at the time but has since given birth to her daughter Hilda.
Jennie, who already has a son called Arthur, shared her happy news last month and has been away from filming for a while. And tonight, Fizs lengthy absence is explained as she heads to Birmingham with Hope to take her to a specialist school.
Hopes behaviour has been troubling the family for some time and her actions which saw her put Cerberus on a tram to Rochdale. As Evelyn Plummer has been left devastated by losing her beloved pooch, Fiz knows her child needs intervention and decides to take her to the school.

Fiz says her goodbyes to Tyrone and even shares a moment of unity with Evelyn, who she previously clashed with. Having ordered Evelyn to move out, Fiz has a change of heart and asks Tyrones gran to stick around and keep an eye on him while shes away.

Fiz then heads out of the Street as she is waved off by her loved ones but fear not, it is expected Jennie will return to the role after her maternity leave ends later next year.
Until then, Tyrone and Evelyn have a missing dog to find!
