Ryan Thomas has revealed that he turned down the chance to receive therapy after Roxanne Pallett accused the 34-year-old of punching her during Celebrity Big Brother.
The former Coronation Street actor was tortured by Roxannes bizarre claim that he intentionally hit her on the arm; unaware that millions watching on from outside the Borehamwood bungalow were completely on his side until crowds chanted to get the Emmerdale actress out of the house a few days later.
Roxanne has since shunned the spotlight while Ryan emerged as the final Celebrity Big Brother winner.
Hes now praised Channel 5 for their support following the incident, but insisted it was his familys support which saw him through.
The show gives you that option and they look after you in that sense, Ryan told The Mirror. Im quite level headed and Ive got a good family around me, and network of friends that look after me. I didnt feel that was necessary. My family are] my safe place.

He added: Being in an enclosed environment for three weeks, and then being reunited with your daughter, your brothers, your mum and dad, that was the highlight for me.
Roxanne eventually wrote a letter to Ryan, which was said to be heartfelt and unreservedly apologetic.

Shes since vowed to take a step back from the public eye and during her interview with Emma Willis, and the presenters death stare, admitted: I got it wrong.
Roxanne will next be seen in the upcoming series of Celebrity Coach Trip, filmed before the CBB punch-gate, alongside James and Ola Jordan, shamed Celebs Go Dating matchmaker Nadia Essex and Charlotte Crosby.
Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother have since been put on the shelf until the production can find a new home after being dropped by Channel 5.
