Departing Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon is hoping for a happy and uplifting exit storyline for her long suffering character Bethany Platt – and is keeping everything crossed that the door will be left open to return as she knows she will want to go back.
Explaining that she wanted to try other things as she hadnt ever even been in a play, the actress admitted that she didnt yet know what was in store for Bethanys ending as the plot wont unfold until next year so there is plenty of drama to come before then.

But she has her own ideas on how shed like to see her alter ego go. Rather than being crushed by a factory roof, she is hoping for something more low key such as Bethany heading off to university or going travelling.
