A thief stole 75 inflatable pool toys to have sex with and claimed hed only done so to stop himself raping women, police say.
Christopher Monnin, 35, said hed stolen the plastic toys over the course of seven months then sexually gratified himself with them, it is claimed.
Monnin reportedly targeted homes in Palm Beach, Florida, with his alleged crime spree brought to a halt when he was nabbed in the early hours of last Thursday.
The alleged burglar was caught with a bag of deflated floats, and is said to have admitted being the serial toy thief.
He would reportedly enter a property on seeing pool floats from the road, and would sometimes cut through the homes fence to satisfy his float fix.
After he was arrested, Monnin is said to have taken cops to a vacant house, where they found the huge stash of pilfered pool toys.
