An animal abuser tied his roommates dog up with string then beheaded it with a razor over unpaid money, police say.
Jose Vega Meza, 21, is accused of inflicting the appalling death on the animal after his female roommate moved out of his moms home in Buckeye, Arizona, on Saturday.
The woman told police she lost track of her pet while shifting her belongings.
Several hours later, she said she spotted Vega Meza trying to load a small box onto a truck without anyone seeing him.
The woman claims she confronted Vega Meza about what was in the box, prompting him to smirk at her.
She then opened the box, and was appalled to discover her dead, headless pet inside.

A neighbor called Victoria believes she witnessed the aftermath, and told AzFamily: The other day there was a girl walking out of that house, she was crying and screaming saying he did something.
She had like 4 or 5 people outside trying to calm her down and she couldnt calm down.
The woman contacted police the next day, and said the delay was because shed been so traumatized by the loss of her pet.
Vega Meza, who is facing animal cruelty charges, reportedly confessed his crime to police after his arrest, and told them he knew what hed done was wrong.
