A rapist convicted of raping a wheelchair-bound woman attacked her two days after being freed from jail for the crime, police say.

Francisco Carranza-Ramirez, 35, reportedly began menacing the woman on Sunday, less than three days after being given a conditional release from a 12 month prison sentence for the third-degree rape.

He breached the terms of his released by being within 1,000 feet of her, it is claimed, before physically attacking her the next day.

That incident allegedly saw Carranza-Ramirez knock the woman from her wheelchair, before strangling her, and threatening to kill her.

He fled the scene before sheriffs deputies could arrive to apprehend him, SeattlePi reported, with detectives now hunting for the sex offender.

Carranza-Ramirezs original attack on the woman took place in September 2018, when he pestered her while she was out and about.

The woman told him she had to take her two year-old son to dinner, with Carranza-Ramirez then approaching her again at that restaurant.

He offered the woman and her son a ride home, then walked into her apartment with no invitation.
