The streaming service dropped a “final” trailer before the holiday release, dialing back the teen-rock summer of love vibe from the previous clips, and going full-on sci-fi horror.
This time around gives the Upside Down its own voice, as footage seems to confirm Billy (Dacre Montgomery) will play unwitting (or perhaps witting) host to the demonic entity previously trapped in the nightmare alternate dimension. “You let us in, and now you are going to have to let us stay,” the disembodied voice ominously warns. “And now its time. We are going to end you, We are going to end your friends. Then, we are going to end everyone.”
