Hollyoaks spoilers: Massive twist and huge stunt to rock dark Laurie storyline but who dies?

Hollyoaks is on fire right now – and that could be the case literally soon as Alex Fletcher, who plays Diane Hutchinson in the soap, has revealed that there is a massive twist ahead – as well as a major stunt. Is someone set to die as the Laurie Shelby (Kyle Pryor) storyline takes another dark twist?

Recently, viewers watched hugely dramatic scenes unfold as Diane confronted Laurie over his rape of Sinead (Stephanie Davis) and as he launched an attack, Sinead and Sienna Blake (Anna Passey), who has been sexually harassed by her colleague, intervened.

Sinead almost killed Laurie by accidentally pushing him over the balcony but the nightmare seemed to be over when the police had plenty of evidence to finally arrest him. But as Laurie faces justice, we caught up with Alex to find out what comes next – and the drama is far from over.

Its been an intense week – what was it like to be at the centre of such high drama?

It was amazing and the reaction that we got was intense and that completely mirrored how the episodes have been. I obviously know what happened but I found myself shocked while watching it and the stunt was fantastic. We all worked really hard collectively, and all of the cast and crew were amazing.

Laurie has been arrested but is this the last we will hear of him or is there more trouble to come? What can you tease comes next?

Weve got a crazy summer coming up. Its going to be really heightened and we have a massive surprise, possibly another stunt – there are people in danger but theres a massive twist, which I dont think anybody will see coming.

With Sinead also facing prison, what lengths would Diane go to to protect her? How would she feel if she went down?

Everybodys storylines are all interlinked at the moment, and the repercussions of what happened to Laurie has a knock on affect. Diane, as a mum, is a lioness, she will do anything for her kids, which has shown this week and that will continue. However, Diane will be put in a really comprising position very soon, where shes got to make choices.

The week has really showcased the strength of women standing up to a bully, are you pleased with how its played out?

There was a scene where Sienna comes in and she tells Sinead that it is over and there is a big hug that we all had, I think that was a real prominent moment. Hes locked up, hes been found out, and hes got his comeuppance. It was complete girl power. Everybody wanted to see Laurie being brought down. Hes such a bad character however Kyle in real life is adorable, hes such a gentleman, he genuinely is and Ive thoroughly enjoyed all of my scenes with him. Hes been here for a year and thats gone in such a flash.

Are you excited for Diane to meet Tonys dad and what kind of relationship will the trio have? We hear hes a bit of a villain – should Diane be scared for her marriage and her safety?

I have never met Joe before, Im delighted hes a fellow scouser of course. Hes brilliant so Im definitely looking forward to the stuff with him, Ive heard loads of lovely things about him and I think its fantastic casting with him and Nick. They look so alike. Im looking forward to another dynamic, and hopefully this is going to bring up a whole new chapter of Dianes life, maybe some happiness.

Shell probably like the fact that hes a super villain. She needs that excitement in her life – as long as he looks after Diane and the family. I think Diane is bullet proof at the minute, shes been through so much. Shes got Finn in her ear, theyve just locked Laurie up, so she doesnt need any more drama.
