Nicole Kidman has confirmed that a third season of Big Little Lies is currently being explored – and obviously we couldnt be happier about it.
The actress revealed shed recently had a discussion with co-star Reese Witherspoon about returning to the hit HBO drama, which concluded its second series in June after a two-year hiatus, for another chapter.
Speaking to Dan Wooton on the red carpet at last nights GQ Awards, Nicole realed: Reese and I just spoke literally two days ago and we were going, “Yeah…”
I mean, we were both saying its one of the best experiences weve ever had. Its definitely not right now, but were definitely exploring it.
Does this mean well learn about the Monterey Fives fate now theyve confessed their role in Perrys death?
Two months ago, HBO president Casey Bloys hinted to TVLine that season three might not be possible because of the casts busy schedules.

I love this group of people – I would do anything with them, he said. But the reality is, they are some of the busiest actresses working in Hollywood.
We have deals with some of them – Nicole [Kidman] is doing her next show [The Undoing] with us. I just think its not realistic.
Around the same time, HBO quashed reports that director Andrea Arnold lost creative control behind-the-scenes of Big Little Lies on the most recent installment during post-production.

They told Metro.co.uk in a statement: There wouldnt be a season two of Big Little Lies without Andrea Arnold.
We at HBO and the producers are extremely proud of her work. As with any television project, the executive producers work collaboratively on the series and we think the final product speaks for itself.
All the cast returned for the shows second outing, including Reese, Nicole, Shailene Woodley, Adam Scott, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, along with newcomer Meryl Streep.
And with all characters surviving the grand finale, theres scope for them to make a dramatic comeback.
