Catherine Tyldesley has admitted that shes terrified of her upcoming Strictly Come Dancing competition debut after watching her routine for the first time.

The Coronation Street star was partnered up with Johannes Radebe for this years competition and will be performing their first dance in just under two weeks time as the show kicks off.

And the reality of the challenge shes taken on has well and truly begun to set in after watching the routine shes supposed to be performing for the first time.

Hes beautiful, hes a beautiful dancer. I could watch him all day, so I really want to do him proud, Catherine added.

Ill give it 110%. Therell be a lot of coffee, a lot of carbs and hopefully well get there!

The actress added that nerves are good to give her the motivation she needs to keep going.

Catherine signed up to Strictly after being reportedly banned from the series while she was playing Eva Price on Coronation Street.

According to the star, Corrie would only allow her to be absent for ITV competitions such as Dancing On Ice, so felt like it was time to get her dancing shoes on after leaving the series.

To give her an edge over her competitors, her husband Tom Pitfield, a personal trainer, has been getting her in tip-top shape for the gruelling routines.
