In a move that’s sure to lure the celebrity lookalikes out of the woodwork, it’s been revealed 15-year-old It actress Sophia Lillis is about to bank some big bucks from signing on to play a young version of Amy Adams in upcoming HBO crime/thriller Sharp Objects.

For those that need a refresher, Lillis shot to fame earlier this year for her turn as tortured pre-teen Beverley Marsh in the remake of the Stephen King novel – and 1990 TV miniseries – that made us fear clowns and drains (and clowns in drains).

TMZ obtained a copy of Lillis’ contract for her latest gig and according to them the teen will take home ‘at least’ $50,000 (£37, 380) for the role, where she’ll portray a young-Camille Preaker in the HBO telly remake of the 2006 novel by Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn.

Adams not only stars as its central character – who’s fresh from a psychiatric hospital and investigating brutal murders in her hometown, while battling her own demons – but she also serves as one of the executive producers.

Speaking to The New York Times, Adams admitted it was a challenge to take the role of boss on set.

‘It’s just an intense experience,’ the 43-year-old said.

‘When you’re working every day of production, all day every day, in a dark character, and then trying to manage the other stuff – for me it was challenging.’

Sharp Objects – to air sometime in 2018 – will also star The Mindy Project’s Chris Messina.
