Im A Celebrity star Harry Redknapp has recalled the horrifying car accident which saw him run over his wife Sandra – but fear not, all is well between the golden couple as shes forgiven him.

Appearing on This Morning on Monday, Harry, 71, revealed how he thought Sandra would lose her foot after he accidentally ran his wheel over it in what he describes as a nightmare ordeal.

Harry told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: That was a nightmare. It was a little one way street in Westbourne where we lived, Sandra was going into a TV shop. So I parked over in two lanes, there was just room for one car.

I saw Sandra come out the car, went to the back and I saw her go. I looked in my wing mirror, I kept saying to her dont get out the car because theres cars coming.

As the shocked presenters looked on, Harry continued: She went across so there were cars coming so she backed up, she stood against my back wheel. I thought Im taking up two parking spaces here I better move forward a bit. I didnt go over her foot, half of Sandras ankle was sliced like bacon.

Remarkably, Sandra doesnt blame her husband for the huge mistake, stating: It was just an accident.

What a woman.

Harry first revealed the accident while in the Im A Celeb jungle last month, before he went on to win the series.

However, his appearance almost didnt happen as Sandra had been struck down with sepsis just weeks before he was due to fly to Australia.

Recalling the awful situation, Harry said: It was only the last week that Sandra had been a lot better because shed been really bad. It was a really scary illness. Sandra had suddenly been taken ill, luckily she got an ambulance otherwise sitting there it could have gotten really dangerous.
